The Anirudh Charitable Trust is a registered not-for-profit organization based in the coastal city of Mangalore in Karnataka state, India. We aim to provide financial assistance and moral support to poor people who are in need of medical treatment, focusing mainly on patients suffering from illnesses like cancer, stroke and kidney dysfunction needing regular dialysis as the financial burden of such deadly maladies can have a devastating effect on their families. The trust also undertakes other activities like rehabilitation of orphans and destitutes, education of poor children and providing other forms of support for the uplift of talented youth hailing from underprivileged families.
Carrying forward an undying spirit of charity
The Anirudh Charitable Trust is established in memory of Anirudh Mohan, the late son of N. G. Mohan and his wife Sujatha Mohan. The second child of his parents, Anirudh Mohan was born on February 22, 1984 and passed away on May 28, 2013, at the tender age of 28 due to cardiac arrest. He was employed in the Middle East at the time of his death. Even in his short life span Anirudh had touched the lives of many with his warmth, a loving good nature and a generous bent of mind. Following this family tragedy, his father, N.G. Mohan, who shares his son’s sense of philanthropy and concern for the less fortunate, has established this trust with the support of his friends, well wishers and generous philanthropists. It is our endeavour to fulfill the young Anirudh’s life’s mission to erase pain and suffering from society through the welfare activities of this trust. We solicit your generous support in realising this vision and making it a reality.

Our Focus
Terminal illness destroys families. Let us extend the hand of relief.

Terminal illness is the most devastating tragedy that can strike a family. Cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, stroke – these are only a few of the conditions that can plummet both the patient and the family into a vicious abyss of helplessness. Predictably, these ailments most often occur among the poor, who can least afford them. The high cost of tertiary care and the emotional stress of caring for the patient virtually destroy the family’s very means of existence and make it indebted for generations to come.

The Anirudh Charitable Trust extends a helping hand to such people. It endeavours to help sick and helpless people who are in need of medical treatment, focusing primarily on sufferers of deadly maladies like cancer, heart disease, kidney dysfunction and liver failure. The trust has adopted a few poor patients, including those who need to undergo regular dialysis.

Apart from helping terminally ill patients and their families, The Anirudh Charitable Trust encourages and sponsors bright youngsters who are unable to afford the high cost of present-day education. It also protects and provides care for orphans, the destitute and homeless old people. Poor students seeking higher education will be encouraged and supported.
Through the twin tracks of providing relief to the needy and empowerment to the talented, the trust aims to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged and contribute to the overall health of society at large.
Contribute
How you can help.
The Anirudh Charitable Trust works with an inclusive vision, one in which every person big or small, has a valuable role to play. It is our belief that charity and the inclination to help are universal human traits. When properly channelled, they can make a huge difference. Hence, we welcome the involvement of both big and small donors in realising our common vision for ensuring a better standard of living for the poorest of the poor.

Patrons and Corpus Donors:
If you wish to contribute in a big way, we welcome you to donate to our corpus fund, sponsor specific projects and equipment, institute scholarships, and so on.
Middle-income donors:
Set aside a portion of your income and contribute regularly to our projects and programmes.
Pigmy Partnerships:
Those with a large heart and moderate incomes can get involved with us by contributing to group fundraising initiatives with the help of friends and colleagues. Just as drops and drops of water make up an ocean, little acts of charity made by many people can create a huge corpus that will ultimately reach those who will benefit from your generosity.
